His dedication to open and transparent communication with his First Nation’s membership has set a standard of which all First Nations leadership can aspire to reach. Personally, I look to his work with Beardy’s & Okemasis First Nation as a guide of how to be an effective leader and communicator within my own community. I have no doubt in my mind that if he is choosen by the people to serve another term he will continue to raise the bar higher and keep Beardy’s and Okemasis First Nation always moving forward.
